Independence Man Dies in Tangipahoa Parish Crash

Troopers from Louisiana State Police Troop L responded early Sunday morning (March 10, 2019) to

a single vehicle fatal crash on US 190 east of Baptist Rd. in Tangipahoa Parish. The crash has claimed the life of 33-year-old Archie Herbert Moore, Jr. of Independence.

Troopers determined that the crash occurred as Moore was driving westbound on US 190, traveled off the right side of the roadway, and crashed into a driveway embankment. The vehicle continued in the ditch and impacted a fence rail before coming to rest.

Moore was transported to North Oaks Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased shortly after his arrival.
