Jerry Cancienne, age 76 and a resident of Franklinton, died at his residence on Thursday, February 21, 2019.
He loved raising his rabbits and chickens and enjoyed being outdoors. He enjoyed working and building things with his hands. He was always willing to help anyone in need.
Survived by: Wife: Esther Baudoin Cancienne of Franklinton; 2 Daughters and sons in law: Jerrilyn and Eddy LeBlanc of Marrero, Rhonda and Mark Berggren of Franklinton; 4 Grandchildren and a spouse: Breanna and Joseph Kahn, Kayla Berggren, Devin LeBlanc, Julia Berggren; Great granddaughter: Sophia Bordelon; 1 Brother and sister in law: Larry and Sherry Cancienne of Marrero; 4 Sisters and brothers in law: Evelyn Billiot of Marrero, Esther Ardeneaux of Abita Springs, Marilyn and Joaquin Zito of Belle Chase, Debbie and Matt Glessner of Marrero
He was preceded in death by an infant daughter Shelly Cancienne, his parents Thomas and Eula LeCompte Cancienne and 2 brothers in law Norris Billiot and David Ardeneaux, Sr.
Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Tuesday, February 26, 2019 from 5 PM until 9 PM. A mass will be held at 10 AM Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at Holy Family Catholic Church, Franklinton, LA. Burial will follow in the Our Lady Prompt Succor Mausoleum in Westwego, LA at 1:00 P.M.
