Vincent Eugene Dillon
December 3, 1941 - February 1, 2019



Vincent Eugene Dillon, age 77 died Friday night February 1, 2019 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born December 3, 1941 and was a lifelong resident of the Thomas Community. When he was younger, Vincent drove a truck hauling milk for Q.D. Turnage Trucking. For many years, he operated heavy equipment at sand and gravel pits throughout the area and he also worked as a motor grader operator for the Washington Parish Police Jury for several years. Vincent loved farming and gardening. After retiring, his favorite hobbies included woodworking, traveling, and playing with his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Vincent was a lifelong member of Stateline United Pentecostal Church.

Survived by: Wife of 51 years: Margie Josephine Odom Dillon of Thomas; 4 Sons and Daughters in law: Brent and Carolyn Dillon, Waylon and Kim Dillon, Tim and Kathy Dillon, Blake Dillon all of Thomas; Daughter: Charlotte Kaye Dillon of Thomas; Sister: Iris Dillon Odom of Thomas; 3 Sisters in law: Ladonics Sharp of Pine, Bonnie Dillon of Angie, Nelda Penton of Franklinton; Grandchildren: Brittney Dillon, Ra’Lee Wascom, Chase Wascom, Lauren Wascom, Brookelyn Dillon, Kayla Mitchell, Kyle Mitchell, Nicole Williams, Cassie Lang, Leslie McCrory, Aleea Mumma, Luke Barber, Dallis Barber, Matt Barber, Brady Dillon, Bryce Dillon, Bowen Dillon, Felicia Atkins; Great-Grandchildren: Sierra Dillon, Anthony Beaudette, Jr., Duce Easterling, Nash Butler, Kennedy Watts, Chase Wascom, Jr., Brayden Jenkins, Jayden Ansley, Olivia Mitchell, Madison Morgan, Kinsley Morgan, Clay Lang, Mia Williams, Dylan McCrory, Weston McCrory; Also numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Broxie Dillon and Tina Farlow Dillon, brothers Silas Dillon, Paul Dillon, David Dillon, sisters Nelda Dillon, Evelyn Dillon Bates, Eloise Dillon, brothers in law John Odom, Jr.

Visitation will be at Stateline United Pentecotal Church on Sunday February 3rd from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm and after 9:00 am on Monday. A funeral service will be held in the church at 11:00 am Monday with Rev. Brandon Wilkins and Rev. W.L. Tullos officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
