Lane Knight
August 10, 1969 - February 22, 2019



John Lane Knight, age 49 and a resident of Thomas, died at 2:01 pm Friday February 22, 2019 at St. Tammany Parish Hospital. He was born August 10, 1969 in New Orleans and was a native of Franklinton. Lane graduated from Stone High School in Wiggins, MS and attended Perk Community College and Nichols State University. He was the founder of Lane’s Chicken and Seafood. Lane loved customized and fast cars, dirt bikes, music and a good drumset.

Survived by: Wife: Jane Knight; 2 Children: Branden Knight, Harlee Knight; Parents: John and Freddie Knight; Brother: Landon Knight; Nephew: Joey Miller; Also numerous other family members and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his son Jagger Knight, grandparents Fleet and Dixie Haley, Wilton and Evie Knight and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Monday February 25th from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 pm Monday with Rev. Eric Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the Fleet and Dixie Haley Family Cemetery.
