Obituary

Jeffery Dean Schilling
April 3, 1963 - January 30, 2019



Jeffery Dean Schilling, age 55 and a lifelong resident of Mount Hermon, died Wednesday evening January 30, 2019 at his home. He was a 1981 graduate of Bowling Green School, where he was a member of the Buccaneer basketball team. Jeff always loved playing basketball and later coached local youth teams, even for his young grandson. He was a hard-working dairyman for nearly 30 years and more recently had raised beef cattle. Jeff attended Mount Hermon United Pentecostal Church and always loved fishing, hunting and the outdoors.

Survived by: Wife of 34 years: Donna McClendon Schilling of Mt. Hermon; 2 Sons and a Daughter in law: Jeffery Ryan Schilling, Austin Dean Schilling and Chelsey Sharp Schilling all of Mt. Hermon; 5 Grandchildren: Alexis Gail Schilling, Noah Ryan Schilling, Brian Cade Blades, Nicholas Austin Schilling, Colton River Schilling; 2 Sisters and Brothers in law: Rachel and Earl Gill, Gwen and Scott Thompson all of Mt. Hermon; Father in law and Mother in law: John and Gail McClendon of Sunny Hill; Sister in law and Brother in law: Stacey and Tripp Branch of Sunny Hill; Nephews and Nieces: Dustin Diddon, Kyle Wayne Hamm, Holly Gill, Brance Bridges, Bryce Smart, Bailey Moore; Also numerous aunts, uncles, other family members and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Ronald Schilling and Dorothy McElveen Schilling, grandchildren Brody Dean Schilling, Natalynn Kate Schilling, uncle and aunt Jake and Wilma Schilling, uncle Dale McElveen.

Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Saturday February 2nd from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm and after 10:00 am on Sunday. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 pm Sunday with Rev. Randall Garcia and Rev. Leroy McElveen officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
