Reward Increased to $5000 in Tangi Double Murder Case

Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff Daniel Edwards announced Monday (December 31, 2018) that the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office is now offering $5,000.00 for information related to a double homicide that occurred on December 23, 2018, that claimed the lives of 42-year-old Daytra Miller and 13-year-old Robert West Jr. of Independence, LA.

Around 6:30 p.m. that evening, it was reported that a mother and son were shot to death inside of their residence on Labruzza Lane.   At this time, TPSO detectives have been following up on leads, verifying information, and examining all evidence to track down those responsible, however we are still in need of the public's assistance.   “Our detectives are fully-engaged every day." says Edwards.  “We will find those responsible,” Edwards continued.
