September 21, 1933 - January 18, 2019
Mary A. Davis, a resident of Diamondhead, MS and former resident of Bogalusa, LA passed away Friday, January 18, 2019, at the age of 85. She was born in Hickory, MS on September 21, 1933.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents Isom Nathanial Emmons and Myrtle Etta Goolsby Emmons; her sisters Ora Lea Overstreet, Lucille Varnado, Louise Overstreet, Christine Herd, Ila Mae Mizell, Dorothy Emmons; her brothers Carl Moody Emmons, Lee Merle Emmons, Edward Dale Emmons.
Ms. Davis is survived by her daughters Debbie Brann (Charles) of Diamondhead, MS., Beverly Eddy of Live Oak FL., Jacqueline Lang (Jay) of Pittsburg, PA., a sister-in-law Lydia Emmons of Bogalusa, LA., her grandchildren Teresa Gorbant of Mobile, AL., Michelle Howard of Live Oak, FL., Jay Rachal of Prairieville, LA., Jeff Rachal of Baton Rouge, LA; 10 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home on Monday, January 21, 2019, from 9:00am until the service time of 11:00am. Rev. Greg Whaley will officiate and interment will be held at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery.
