On the Ballot for Bogalusa Voters

Bogalusa voters, in addition to the run-offs for Secretary of State, for Mayor of Bogalusa, and for Councilman, District C, you have the following propositions on the ballot:

City of Bogalusa Proposition No. 1 of 3
(3 Mill Tax)
Shall the City of Bogalusa, State of Louisiana (the "City"), under the authority of Article VI, Sections 30 and 32 of the Constitution of the State of Louisiana of 1974, and other constitutional and statutory authority, levy and collect a special tax of three (3) mills on all the property subject to taxation in the City, for a period of twenty (20) years beginning with the year 2019 and ending with the year 2038, inclusive (an estimated $217,500 reasonably expected at this time to be collected from the levy of the tax for one entire year), for the purpose of paying retirement and pension benefits to the City of Bogalusa Employees Retirement System (COBERS)?

City of Bogalusa Proposition No. 2 of 3
(1% Sales Tax Rededication)
Shall the City of Bogalusa, State of Louisiana, under the authority of Article VI, Sections 29 and 30 of the Constitution of the State of Louisiana of 1974, and other constitutional and statutory authority, rededicate the one percent (1%) sales and use tax that was approved at an election held on March 15, 1955, so that the proceeds of such sales and use tax may hereafter be used for any lawful municipal purpose, subject to a requirement that for a period of twenty (20) years, beginning January 1, 2019, a minimum of twelve and one-half percent (12.5%) of the proceeds of said 1% sales and use tax must be used for the purpose of paying retirement and pension benefits to the City of Bogalusa Employees Retirement System (COBERS) (said 12.5% portion currently estimated to be approximately $272,300 annually)?

(1/4% Sales Tax Rededication)
Shall the City of Bogalusa, State of Louisiana, under the authority of Article VI, Sections 29 and 30 of the Constitution of the State of Louisiana of 1974, and other constitutional and statutory authority, rededicate the one-quarter of one percent (1/4%) sales and use tax that was approved at an election held on November 17, 2007, so that (a) 50% of the proceeds of such sales and use tax be used for: improving and/or maintaining the City's industrial park; constructing additions and improvements to existing buildings in the industrial park; and constructing, acquiring and improving additional buildings therein; and that (b) the remaining 50% of the proceeds of such sales and use tax be used for the purpose of paying retirement and pension benefits to the City of Bogalusa Employees Retirement System (COBERS) (each such 50% portion currently estimated to be approximately $272,300 annually)?
