Wynetta Gerald Temples, age 65 and a resident of Pine died at 12:33 pm Thursday December 6, 2018 at Tulane Medical Center in New Orleans. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse and had recently retired after a career at Riverside Medical Center that spanned 42 years of service to her community. Wynetta was a longtime member of Pine Missionary Baptist Church. She was always a caretaker at heart and had devoted time to the care of her late husband and family. Wynetta loved watching her grandsons play the sports they enjoyed.
Survived by: Son and Daughter in law: Randall and Anna Temples of Pine; Daughter and Son in law: Christie and John Bourgeois of Pine; 4 Grandsons: Hunter Temples, Logan Temples, Tristan Bourgeois, Grant Bourgeois; Sister and Brother in law: Theresa and Jerry McKenzie of Pine; Brother and Sister in law: Johnny and Joyce Gerald of Pine; Also numerous nieces and nephews
She was preceded in death by her husband Roy Houston Temples, parents Talmage Gerald and Fannie Thomas Gerald, mother in law Katie Beall Temples.
Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Saturday December 8th from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm. Visitation will continue Sunday at Pine Missionary Baptist Church from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the church at 2:00 pm Sunday with Bro. Adam Luper and Bro. David Barber officiating. Burial will follow in the New Gerald Cemetery.
