Kinzy "Eddie" Morris, age 77 and a resident of Amite died Sunday evening December 2, 2018 at Lakeview Regional Medical Center. He was a longtime truck driver for several companies, most recently with Jerry Rispone Trucking and Dozer, Inc. for many years. Eddie also enjoyed driving his own bulldozer and tractors as he worked around the family property. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and adored his young great-grandchildren.
Survived by: Daughter and Son in law: Melinda and Rev. Walter Mixon of Amite; 3 Grandchildren and Spouses: Kimberly and Jason Spillyards of Amite, Ken and Kelly Mixon of Franklinton, Tia Mixon of El Paso, TX; Great-grandchildren: Harley Spillyards, Gloria Mixon, Kensly Mixon, Tony Mixon; Sister and Brother in law: Rhonda and Johnny Richard of Amite; Sister in law: Nancy Morris of Amite; Also numerous nieces, nephews and other family members
He was preceded in death by his wife Gloria Addison Morris, infant twin son and daughter James Edward Morris and Lisa Renee Morris, parents Kinzey Morris and Ruby Passman Morris and a grandson Cpl. Justin Ray Mixon.
Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home (1109 Bene Street, Franklinton, LA) Tuesday December 4th from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm and after 9:00 am on Wednesday. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 am Wednesday with Rev. Walter Mixon officiating. Burial will follow in the Sharon Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
