Big Turnout for The Wall That Heals Arrival in Franklinton

Despite the cold and overcast skies, Franklinton saw large crowds to welcome the arrival of the replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D. C.. Franklinton will be among the first to host this exhibit which includes a three-quarter scale Wall replica that is 375 feet in length and stands 7.5 feet high at its tallest point. The exhibits tell the story of the Vietnam War, The Wall and the era surrounding the conflict, and are designed to put American experiences in Vietnam in a historical and cultural context.

The exhibit may be seen at the Washington Parish Fairgrounds in Franklinton, Louisiana. See the schedule below:
