Gregory Crain
November 29, 1952 - October 28, 2018



Mr. Gregory Crain passed away at the age of 65 on Sunday, October 28, 2018 at The Crossing in Baton Rouge, LA. He was born to the union of the late Elder McDonald Crain and Dellarine Bell Crain on November 29, 1952.   

Gregory was a High School graduate of Southern University Laboratory School in 1970. He was a member of the Southern University Marching Band and he graduated from Southern University in 1975, where he received scholarships in Band, Baseball, as well as a Full Business academic scholarship.

He also worked at Exxon as well as Metropolitan Life Insurance. Gregory was a person who could always put a smile on your face.

He leaves to cherish his memories his children, Gregory Montrel (Adrianna)Crain and Garland McDonald Crain both of Dallas, TX, Germaine Marquise Crain of Baton Rouge, LA, Garmar Maurice (Yvette) Crain of Atlanta, GA and Raven Crain; one God child, Cherrie Crain of Baton Rouge, LA; four grandchildren, Brandon Lindsey, Hannah Crain, Gewel and Garmar Crain II; one uncle, Brisco H. Crain of Franklinton, LA; one aunt, Valdora (Joseph) Snedecor of Zachary, LA.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elder McDonald and Dellarine Bell Crain and two brothers, Cedric and Byron Crain.

Funeral service will be held at Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Franklinton, LA on Friday, November 2, 2018 at 10:00AM with Rev. Terrence August – Officiating. Interment – Sweet Home Cemetery in Franklinton, LA. Crain and Sons Funeral Home - Franklinton are in charge of arrangements.
