Covington-area resident Timothy Noel (25) was arrested Monday (October 1, 2018) on the charge of Second Degree Cruelty to a Juvenile pursuant to an arrest warrant obtained Friday, September 28, 2018.Noel had called 911 on Thursday morning (September 27, 2018) to report that his five-week old son had stopped breathing, and started vomiting and bleeding from the mouth, while he was feeding him. The father was home alone with the infant at the time.
St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies and emergency services personnel responded, and the infant was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment. Doctors discovered the infant had non-accidental injuries consistent with child abuse. The infant has been diagnosed by physicians with broken ribs and brain trauma.
