Arrest Made in Long Branch Cafe Burglary

Bogalusa Police Department Officers arrested Polanski O. Warren (21) of Bogalusa on October 28,
2018 for burglary of the Long Branch Cafe. On Sunday morning, October 21, 2018, the owner of the cafe reported the burglary. The owner reported that he was opening up at 9 am and, as he was unlocking the door, he heard a noise in the rear of the building. The owner walked to the rear of the building and discovered the door that separates the storage room from the kitchen area had been torn down. It appeared that the suspect entered the storage room by going underneath the building and tearing out the flooring.

According to the security camera footage, the owner was walking in the front door as the suspect ran out the rear door. The suspect was a male dressed in a black T shirt and blue jeans.

The BPD Detective Division took over the investigation. After speaking to witnesses and reviewing video footage from two different locations, BPD investigators identified Polanski Warren as the perpetrator. An Arrest warrant was issued for Warren on the charge of Simple Burglary.

This was great team work by the BPD Patrol Shift D and the Detective Division.
