Shirley Dillon Tucker
March 07, 1946 - August 27, 2018



Shirley D. Tucker was born March 7, 1946 to Elisha Davis, Sr. and Ernestine Bell Davis. She was a long time resident of Harvey, LA. She joined Bethel Church of Christ Holiness and was baptized at an early age.  She attended Washington Parish School system
She was married to Bobby Davis, Sr. and to this union two children were born, Bobby, Jr. and Everette Dillon. Later in her life she married, Leroy Tucker.
She leaves to cherish her memories two loving sons, Bobby (Thekata) Dillon, Jr. and Everette (Misty) Dillon, Sr. of New Orleans, LA. Four grandchildren, Everette Dillon, Jr., Eboni Dillon, Cierra Julian, Dominic Dillon, and Joshua Dillon. Three great grandchildren, Julius Miller, Regan Mitchell and Triston Dillon. One sister, Gail (Arthur) Thompson of Beaumont, TX; one aunt, Georgia Q. McCant of Hanford, California; 2 sisters-in-law, Nicy Davis and Shirley Ann Davis, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Tucker; one son, Daryl Dillon; father, mother, 9 brothers, and. 2 sisters.
Shirley, affectionately known as Shell by her loved ones, was amazing in the kitchen.  Anyone that entered her home, would leave full of good food and sore from laughter.  Her family will tell you her banana pudding is and will always be legendary.  She was always “the life of the party” due to her vibrant personality and quick wit.  She was a firm believer in family and truly loved her “boys” and her grandchildren.  Her love was like the wind, you could not see it but you could definitely feel it. 
Visitation will be held Thursday, September 6, 2018 from 9:00AM - 11:00AM followed by a funeral service at 11:00AM at Bethel Church of Christ Holiness with Eld. Alvin Partman - Pastor Officiating. Interment will be at the Bethel Church Cemetery.
Crain and Sons Funeral Home of Franklinton are in charge of arrangements.
