Billy Theron Graves, Sr., age 82 and a resident of Pine, died Monday evening September 3, 2018 at Lakeview Regional Medical Center. He was a longtime dairyman, who truly loved the hard work and labor it took to tend to his cows and work the land. Billy also enjoyed planting and working in his vegetable garden each year. He liked hunting and fishing and watching sporting events on TV. Billy was a longtime member of Acy’s Creek Missionary Baptist Church.
Survived by: Wife of 58 years: Aline Williams Graves of Pine; 3 Sons: Billy Theron Graves, Jr. of Franklinton, Chesley Nathan Graves of Pine, Norman Andrew Graves of Angie; 4 Grandchildren: Tre’ Graves, Caleb Graves, Colby Graves, Malloree Graves Jenkins; 9 Great-grandchildren: Konner Graves, Kollin Graves, Kooper Graves, Gabe Garza, Ashlyn Graves, Andrew Graves, AnaLei Graves, Hadleigh Jenkins, Raif Jenkins; Brother and Sister in law: Eld. J.W. and Marcell Graves of Franklinton; 2 Sisters and a Brother in law: Mabel Graves Beall and Roy Beall of Denham Springs, Wanzie Graves Adams of Alabama; Also numerous nieces, nephews, brothers in law and sisters in law.
He was preceded in death by his parents Willie Chesley “Bill” Graves and Lena Elnora Taylor Graves and brother and sister in law Denman and Pat Graves.
Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Thursday September 6th from 10 am until 2 pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2 pm Thursday with Eld. Duane Ball, Eld. Richard Magee and Eld. Donnie Broom officiating. Burial will follow in the Acy’s Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
