U.S. Marshall's Task Force Nail Two Today in St. Tammany

A St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office detective, who is assigned to the U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Apprehension Task Force, assisted Friday in two apprehensions, a murder suspect and a wanted sex offender/child predator.

Silvano Echavarria (23), wanted for the beating death of an elderly man at a Pasadena, Texas apartment complex, was arrested Friday morning (August 31, 2018) by members of the Task Force in Lacombe. He was booked into the St. Tammany Parish Jail as a fugitive out of Harris County, Texas.

Friday afternoon (August 31, 2018), the STPSO detective assigned to the Task Force saw Jerry Ray Webb (27) walking with another individual near the intersection of North Street near Highway 11. Webb is a wanted sex offender/child predator and was arrested and booked into the St. Tammany Parish Jail on multiple warrants related to failing to register as a sex offender.
