Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff Daniel Edwards reports the arrests of Kendrick Johnson, Jr. (27) of Baton Rouge and Montrey Taylor (17) of Independence for their involvement in a shooting that occurred on August 18, 2018 in Loranger. Shaun Toefield (17) of Loranger was sustained non-life threatening injuries and remains in a medical facility.Johnson was charged with aggravated battery and Taylor was charged with inciting a felony, introduction of contraband-penal institute, violation of uniform controlled dangerous substance, and possession of schedule I drugs.
This investigation is active and on-going. Additional arrest are believed to be forthcoming.
