Two Accused in Tangipahoa Parish of “Heinous” Fraud

Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff Daniel Edwards reports the arrests of Brooke Thibodeaux (28) of Baton Rouge and Heather Reichert-Jackson (23) of Denham Springs for Theft by Fraud in the amount of $900. The two were reported and captured on video in April, 2018 knocking on doors in Tangipahoa Parish while falsely presenting themselves as members of the Trinity Baptist Church in Pumpkin Center. These women were allegedly going door to door in the attempt to raise money for a young girl suffering from leukemia.

The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriffs Office Financial Crimes Unit have been actively working the case. TPSO Detectives Travis Pitman and Michael D'Amato followed up on Crime Stopper's tips and partnered with community members to identify the two as the alleged perpetrators.

Both suspects allegedly admitted that their addiction to heroin is what fueled their heinous actions.
