A St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office detective, who is assigned to the U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Apprehension Task Force, assisted Wednesday morning (August 15, 2018) in the apprehension of a man wanted in connection with the August 2, 2018 shooting death of Dawan Gibson (27) on Alabo Street in New Orleans.
Members of the Task Force made contact with Toi Desilva (24) at a Slidell-area home shortly before 9 a.m., resulting in his arrest on a warrant for Second-degree Murder.
Desilva was booked into the St. Tammany Parish Jail as a fugitive from Orleans Parish.
