Mother and Daughter Die in St. Tammany Crash

Friday evening (August 3, 2018), a three vehicle crash in St. Tammany Parish claimed the lives of Madisonville residents Hannah Landwehr (16) and her mother Brandi Landwehr.

The preliminary investigation by Louisiana State Police revealed that Hannah Landwehr was driving a 2015 Honda Civic south on LA 1085 and Brandi Landwehr was the front seat passenger. Hannah Landwehr stopped at the stop sign on LA 1085 at LA 22 but failed to yield to on-coming traffic. As she proceeded to make a left turn onto LA 22, her vehicle was struck by a vehicle driven by Aaron Coyne of Ponchatoula.  The Civic was pushed across the east bound lane and shoulder of LA 22 and came to rest in the ditch. Coyne's vehicle then sideswiped a vehicle driven by Patricia Jarrell of Abita Springs.

Brandi Landwehr was pronounced deceased on the scene. Hannah Landwehr later died at North Oaks Hospital.  No other injuries were reported.
