According to Crime Stoppers of South Central Mississippi, on Sunday, August 5, 2018, at approximately 10:00 p.m. Officers of McComb Police Department responded to the 300 block of New York Avenue regarding an individual being possibly shot.Officers discovered Radon Marion Brister (51) lying in the street with a gunshot wound to his forehead. Brister was seen riding a red mountain bike at Love’s Quik Stop on N. Broadway St. and purchased a soft drink moments before the incident. Witnesses saw a small black passenger car fleeing the area just after a single gunshot was heard from neighbors.
Brister was transported to Southwest Mississippi Medical Center and was then flown to University Mississippi Medical Center for further treatment and remains in critical condition.
