January 28, 1926 - July 11, 2018
Herschel Doy Dugan Sr. age 92, passed away on July 11, 2018 at his residence here in Bogalusa La. He was a US navy veteran serving during WWII. He was also a member of ESM United Methodist Church where he served as Head Usher for 48 years.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years Augusta DeLaughter Dugan of Bogalusa La. One son Herschel Doy Dugan Jr. “Clelie” of Mandeville La. One daughter Maureen Gentry “Earl” of Spanish Ft. Ala. Six grandchildren, Meghan Baxter “Ron”, Erik Gentry, Erin Gentry, William Dugan, Thomas Dugan, Mary Grace Dugan.
He is preceded in death by his parents George E. and Minnie White Dugan Sr., brothers Harold Smith, George Dugan Jr., Maxwell Dugan. Sisters Agnes Dugan, Maxine Roskowie, and Gen Miller.
Visitation will be held on Saturday July 14, 2018 at ESM United Methodist Church in Bogalusa La from 9 a.m. until time for services at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Ponemah Cemetery. Rev. Bill Moon will officiate.In lieu of flowers donations can be made to ESM United Methodist Church in Bogalusa.
