Franklinton Police Officers Complete Training

The Franklinton Police Department reports and congratulates five of their officers for graduating from training that will help provide for the safety and security of the Town of Franklinton for years to come.

  • On June 29th, 2018, Corporal Ernest Corkern graduated from the Louisiana Peace Officer Standards and Training Council School Resource Officer Training Course. This course is designed to provide experienced Police Officers the training and tools needed to work within our schools to ensure the continued safety and security of our children.
  • Also on June 29th, 2018, Corporal Steven Galloway, Patrolman First Class James Harper, and Sergeant Jared Stubbs, of the Franklinton Police Department, graduated from the Saint Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office Field Officer Training Course. This course is designed to provide experienced Police Officers the tools needed to train the next generation of Police Officers.
  • Sgt. Chad Dorsett also recently attended Interview and Interrogation training at Camp Shelby, Mississippi provided by the Regional Counter-Drug Training Academy.

Chief Olander Smith commends these Officers for their dedication to the Franklinton Police Department and the citizens of Franklinton.
