Vehicle and Foot Pursuit in Bogalusa Leads to Wanted Man's Arrest

On Tuesday (June 19, 2018), an officer with the Bogalusa Police Department Patrol Division attempted to stop a speeding vehicle on City Limits Road but the driver fled onto Mitch Road and Tree of Life Church Road before coming to a stop in the area of Joe Johnson Road in the Mitch Community. The driver then fled on foot into a residence where he was apprehended.
It was learned that the suspect, Derrick L. Ishman (40) of Bogalusa, had three felony warrants issued by the Bogalusa Police Department for the charges of Principal to Aggravated Battery, Principal to Aggravated Battery and Possession or Carrying a Weapon by a Convicted Felon. The warrants were issued after an incident that occurred on August 29, 2017 that involved Ishman and Marcus Raine as suspects. According to the victim, he was sitting in his parked vehicle in front of his residence on Main Street when Raine and Ishman arrived and Raine parked his vehicle in front of the victim's vehicle to prevent him from leaving. Raine and Ishman approached the victim, Raine demanded money that the victim owed him, and Raine allegedly struck him in the face with a handgun and told him to have his money by sundown. Raine was arrested for is involvement on November 2, 2017 and charged with Aggravated Battery, Simple Kidnapping and Possession or Carrying a Weapon by a Convicted Felon.
