William “Billy” McNeese passed away at his residence in Bogalusa on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at the age of 76. He was born May 4, 1942 in Tylertown, Mississippi to the late Chess Ameal and Gladys Rogers McNeese. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sister Delores McNeese Bass and brother Michael McNeese, Sr.
He worked as a dairy farmer for over 40 years. He loved to watch football and baseball and was an avid LSU fan. He also enjoyed taking pictures and listening to country, and gospel music.
Survivors include his sisters Nell Penton Rutland (Jim), Veda Lewis, and Shirley Jones all of Bogalusa; and brothers John Bruce McNeese of Thomas, Chess McNeese, Jr. (Debbie) of Bogalusa, and Lavell McNeese (Nina) of Bossier City; and numerous nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews; and great-great nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by many.
Visitation will be at Capps Funeral Home in Tylertown, Mississippi on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. and continue on Thursday until service time there at 2:00 P.M. With Reverend Drew Galloway officiating. Burial will be in Gay Cemetery in Thomas.
Pallbearers will be Justin Smith, D. J. Meaux, Darrell Meaux, Lydell Slocum, Dustin Slocum, and Corey Barber. Honorary pallbearers will be Joseph Carter and Tommy Delancey.
