Joey Derrick Boone passed away peacefully on June 20, 2018 at 3:55 A.M. in Ochsner Hospital of New Orleans at the age of 34.
Joey was born on October 4, 1983 in Bogalusa. He graduated from Pine High School in 2002.
Joey is survived by his parents, James and Juanita Boone of Bogalusa; one daughter, Rielii Boone of Purvis, MS; his wife, Becky Boone; and his step-children, Logan, Georgia, and Alivia Olson of Foxworth, MS; one brother, James Jeffery Boone and his children Kaleigh and Kinslee Boone of Bogalusa; one sister, Hannah Boone Davis and her husband David Davis and their children Damianna and Nathan Davis of Bogalusa; and also many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his grandmothers, Ethel Stafford, Minnie Woodard, and May Boone.
Joey worked as a talented tattoo artist and owned his own tattoo shop, The Body Shop Ink in Hattiesburg, MS.
He enjoyed motorcycle riding, golfing, fishing with daddy, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his daughter and step-children.
He will be missed by all.
There will be a visitation for Joey at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home in Bogalusa, LA on Saturday, June 23, 2018 from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M.
