Jerry Joe Rayborn, Sr., age 77 and of Franklinton, passed away on June 15, 2018 at Tulane Medical Center in New Orleans, LA.
No services to be held at this time.
Mr. Rayborn was born in McComb, MS., on June 12, 1941. He was the son of John Ezra Rayborn and Trevie Boyd Rayborn.
He graduated from Ole Miss with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry. He was the owner of several Oilfield Specialty drilling product companies and he also invented dozens of specialty products. He was a member of Clifton Baptist Church in Clifton, LA.
Mr. Rayborn is preceded in death by his parents; one brother, John Rayborn and three sisters, Maude Bacot, Margie Calotta and Jet Griffin.
He is survived by his wife, Jeanie Rayborn of Franklinton, LA; three sons, Jerry Rayborn, Jr. of Franklinton, LA, Jeff Rayborn and wife Elizabeth of Summit and Joel Rayborn of New Orleans, LA; two brothers, Ted Rayborn of Fernwood, MS and Raymond Griffin of Houston, TX; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
