Traffic Stop Turns Into Drug Arrest Near Mt. Hermon

The Washington Parish Sheriff's Office reports that late in the afternoon of May 23, 2018, Patrol Deputy Jay Dupre made a traffic stop on Holmesville Road near Mt. Hermon. The driver. Miketillies R. Williams (35) of Franklinton and a convicted felon, was found in possession of a .22 caliber rifle, 4.3 grams of methamphetamine, 15.3 grams of marijuana and twenty-one Oxycodone Hydrochloride pills.
Williams was booked on numerous charges and bond was set at $50,000.
Sheriff Randy Seal stated, “Our outstanding patrol deputies are constantly working throughout our parish protecting us from those who would do us harm. In this case, Deputy Dupre not only took illegal drugs off of our streets but also removed a firearm from a convicted felon. Good job!”
