Fallen Heroes Honored in Washington Parish

As citizens from throughout Washington Parish gathered under the flagpole in front of the Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office today (May 18, 2018), Sheriff Randy Seal spoke words of remembrance and gratitude to law enforcement officers who lost their lives in the line of duty.
Following the Pledge of Allegiance to the United States Flag, Sheriff Seal placed a wreath at the memorial to Fallen Heroes of Washington Parish who are memorialized in the tribute to Fallen Heroes located inside the lobby of the Sheriff’s Office. Drew LeBlanc, representing Buglers Across America, played taps as the ceremony concluded. Attendees then had the privilege of viewing the memorial.
“Remembrance of our fallen heroes is always a solemn time for all of us,” stated Sheriff Seal. “These fine officers made the ultimate sacrifice as they worked to protect the residents of our parish. We are forever indebted to them.”
