Ronnell Sartin
August 18, 1941 - April 05, 2018

Ronnell Sartin departed this earthly life on April 5, 2018 at the home of his devoted sister, Kayla Holmes. He was the eldest son of the late Althea Pigott and the late Joseph (Audrey) Sartin.
Ronnell was a man of few words but was always eager to express his love for his mother. Ronnell attended The Bogalusa School System, he joined The New Triumph Baptist Church under the leadership of his uncle Rev, Jacob Sartn, Jr. and was blessed to continue his fellowship under the leadership of Rev. E.L. Powell, Jr.
Ronnell married Gertrude Hughes amd to that union Ronell Jr. and Anitra was born also his son, Kevin Sartin of Baton Rouge, LA.
Ronnell was preceded in death by his parents, Althea Pigott and Joseph (Audrey) Sartin, his two sisters, Jonell Pigott and Patricia Taylor; his brother, Herman Pigott; his maternal grandmother, Marlive Richardson; his grandfather, Louis Crain; his paternal grandparents, Jacob Sartin, Sr., and Ordin (Hoze) Wells; seven uncles, Clarence Richardson, David Richardson, and Alvin Richardson, Rev. Jacob Sartin, Jr., Charles Sartin, Attie Sartin and James Sibley; six aunts, Mable Richardson, Rozina Wiggins, Gladys Barner, Mary Thompson, Annie Sartin, and Oraster Satrin; three great aunts, Glenda Brumfield, Reberta Sibley, and Mae Whittine.
Ronnell leaves to cherish his children, Ronnell, Jr., Anitra and Kelvin; ten sisters, Kayla Holmes, Yvonne Taylor, Sylvis (Fred) Scott, and Faye Pigott, Beverly (Saul) Davis, Dorothy Sartin, Brenda (Dudley, Jr.) Stalling, Dianne (Henry) Moure, Renee Sartin, and Demtri Barr; a special cousin, Georgia Hodges; four aunts, Louise Sampson, Emma Sibley, Margarite Sartin, and Brelone Wells; four uncles, Jerry (Brelane) Wells, Richard (Joanne) Wells, Lynell (tonya) Sartin, and Roger (Mae) Wells; eight brothers, Jeffery Pigott, Donnell (Tiffany) Pigott, Leroy Pigott, Steve (Carolyn) Sartin, Bobby Sartin, Eric (Bridget) Sartin, Byron (Loleta) Sartin, and Dontel Sartin; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The visitation will be held Friday, April 13, 2018 from 2:00pm-7:00pm at Crain and Sons Funeral-Bogalusa, LA.
The funeral will be 2:00pm Saturday, April 14, 2018 at New Triumph Baptist Church with Rev. E.L. Powell, pastor officiating. Interment will be held at Bogalusa Cemetery.
