Lawrence Edward Morris II
June 09, 1974 - April 19, 2018



" And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain; for the former thing are passed away. Revelation 21:4
Lawrence Edward Morris, II, affectionately known as "BOO" departed this life on Thursday , April 19, 2018.  He was born June 9, 1974, in Bogalusa, LA.  "BOO" was raised in Varnado, LA and later became a resident of Bogalusa, where he joined the Greater Ebenezer Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. Raymond E. Mims.
He was a 1992 graduate of Varnado High School.  While attending high school, he was a student athlete who excelled at football for the Wildcats.  All who knew him knew that he was very passionate about his alma mater.  He could often be found cheering for the Wildcats on the sidelines or sharing his love and pride for his team willing to listen.
After high school "BOO" attended Southern University A&M college in Baton Rouge,LA.  He later entered the work force as a construction worker. At the time of his death he was employed with Schlumberger.
"BOO" had a smile that was charming, friendly, and contagious.  There was never a time that you would not see him without a smile or making someone laugh.  He was very outgoing, kindhearted, and just a loveable, joking person.  In his spare time, "BOO" enjoyed hunting and cooking-barbecuing and frying fish to name a few.  He was a dedicated father to his girls; they were the sparkle of his eyes.  "BOO" was also a caring husband, loyal brother, devoted son, and respected uncle.  He was lovingly known as "Uncle Boo" to all of his  nieces and nephews that admired his warm, enjoyable spirit.
He leaves to mourn his legacy and celebrate precious memories a faithfully devoted wife, Monique Morris; three beautiful daughters, Raven Smith of Norcross, GA, Malia and Kennedi Morris of Bogalusa, LA; a special Nephew raised as his own, Jalen Walker Mahone, Dallas, Tx; his loving mother, Lillie M. Morris of Varnado, La; special in-laws, Eddie (Deloris) Walker of ,Bogalusa, LA; stepmother, Sandra White Morris of Slidell, LA; two brothers, Derrick (Monique) Morris of Akron, OH, and Lance Morris of Varnado, La; paternal grandmother, Juanita Morris Bias of Varnado La; grandmother-in-law, Shirley Peters of Bogalusa, LA; four aunts, Elaine Brown of Bogalusa, La; Brenda(James) Walker of Monrobia,Ca, Sandra Moore of Baton Rouge, La and Hazel Morris of Rowlett, TX; nine uncles, Joe(Ruby) BrownJr, of Detroit, MI, Ernest Brown of Bogalusa, La;Andrew(Ruby D) Brown of Las Vegas NV, Richard (Denise) Brown of Sun LA; Linsey Miles of Angie,La; Lonnie Morris jr.of Baton Rouge,LA; Jimmy (Doll) Morris of Las Vegas NV; Bert Morris of Varnado, LA; and Frank Morris of Manhatten, NY; great aunt, Gertrude Graves of Angie, LA;five sisters-in-laws whom he loved dearly Shuwanda Brunsof Marietta, GA, Daphne Walker of Dallas TX; Meagan Walker of Matairie, La, Ashley (Ashed) Levi of Bogalusa La; and Terasa Peters of Arlington,TX; two godbrothers, Kentrell Lundie of Atlanta, Ga; and Trevor Smith of Varnado,LA; two godsons,Jornell Bruns of Atlanta GA;and Antonio Peters Jr of New Orleans  LA, dear relatives-in-love, Donna (Duane) Campbell, Odette (Edward) Doty, and Denise Jordan all of Dallas TX; Burnadette Bradford, Dorothy Williams, Linda Walker, Brenda Morgan, Janice(Joe) Pigott, Rose Rayford, and Barbara Williams, all of Bogalusa,LA; Also special brothers Kendall Moses, Scotel and Kendrick Nichols and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by hid father, Lawrence "Shorty" Morris Sr; grandfathers, Joe Brown, Sr; and Lonnie Morris, Sr; and Aunts Phillis Morris and uncles Glen Brown and Stanwood Bickham Sr.
Visitation will be at the Greater Ebenezer Baptist Church Friday, April 27, 2018 from 2 pm to 6 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at the Greater Ebenezer Baptist Church in Bogalusa.
