Gwendolyn Spears Cooper
October 14, 1947 - April 17, 2018



GWENDOLYN SPEARS COOPER, AGE 70 and a resident of Madisonville died Tuesday afternoon April 17, 2018 at St. Tammany Parish Hospital. Gwen was a native and longtime resident of Franklinton. Following the death of her husband, she spent several years in Arizona, where she met many friends and fell in love with the weather and scenery. She always loved plants and tending to her flowers. Gwen was an excellent cook and liked to watch cooking shows on TV. She enjoyed spending time with her family and adored her grandchildren.
Survived by: Daughter: Susan Dianna Cooper and John Bedo of Madisonville; 2 Sons: Bruce Cooper, Jr. of Houma and Brice Cooper and Michelle Junot of Palm Bay, FL.; 4 Grandchildren: Brandyn Michael Cooper,
Cody Michael Cooper, Dakota Marie Pedrego, Bree Thuy Vy Cooper; a host of other young people she thought of like her own grandchildren; Sister and Brother in law: Terrie Magee Slade and Ben Slade; 2 Brothers and a Sister in law: Robert Earl and Nancy Spears of Bogalusa, Ted Magee of St. Tammany; Also numerous nieces and nephews
She was preceded in death by her husband Bruce Cooper, her mother and step-father Myrtle Reviere Magee and Wliman H. Magee, her father Lee Spears and brother Charles Dewayne Spears.
Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Saturday April 21st from 9 am until 11 am. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 11 am Saturday. Burial will take place at Strahan Cemetery at a later date.
Honorary Pallbearers are Anthony Keaton and other members of the Rebel Riders Riding Club 3Rc
