Barrett Lee Harmon, Sr.
March 11, 1978 - April 5, 2018


BARRETT LEE HARMON, SR., AGE 40 and a resident of Franklinton died late Thursday night April 5, 2018 at his home. He was a 1996 graduate of Franklinton High School that worked as a scaffold builder for several companies through the years. Barrett enjoyed playing youth football and his favorite baseball. He loved to go squirrel hunting and enjoyed fishing in the Bogue Chitto and other local rivers. Barrett had a large hat collection and liked to ride Harley Davidson motorcycles.
Survived by: Wife: Karen Wortham Harmon of Franklinton; 2 Sons: Austin Mahler, Barrett Lee “B.J.” Harmon, Jr.; 2 Daughters: Cheyanne Harmon, Trista Harmon; Mother and Step-father: Eva Jones Graham and Mike Graham of Franklinton; Father and Step-mother: David and Vicky Harmon of Columbia; Grandmother: Velma Jones of Franklinton; Sister: Amy Harmon of Covington; Brothers: Michael Graham of Tunica, MS, Rev. Jeffrey Bass of Lucedale, MS, Davey Bass, Chris Bass, Eric Bass; Nieces and Nephews: Halie Wheat, Vivian Ward, Dakota Wortham, Chance Wortham, McKenzie Delancey, Amber Wortham, Summer Wortham, Haley Wortham, Jesse Johnson; Aunts and Uncles: Cindy and Tommy Guy, Emily Gonzalez, Debra Dickson, Johnny and Donna Jones, Billy Jones, Lynda Jones; Father in law and Mother in law: Jesse Wortham, Jr. and Joellen Wortham; Brother in law: Jesse Wortham, III; Sister in law: Renee Wortham; Also survived by numerous cousins, other family members and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather Virgil Jones, grandparents Rev. Olin Harmon and Rushell Harmon, uncles Sonny Harmon, Bobby Jones, Allen Jones, Mike Dickson, an aunt Debbie Jones and grandmother in law Velma Wortham.
Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Tuesday April 10th from 5 pm until 9 pm and after 10 am on Wednesday. A funeral service will be held at 2 pm Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Pete Williams, Rev. Larry Archote, and Rev. Justin Cameron officiating. Burial will follow in the Spencer Cemetery.
