The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office has arrested two more students Thursday (March 1, 2018) for posting threats via social media and text.
A 13-year-old Boyet Junior High School student was arrested for Terrorizing after fellow students saw a photo she posted on SnapChat referencing herself as a school shooter.
A 14-year-old Lee Road Junior High School student was arrested Terrorizing after he sent some alarming text messages to a family member, referencing himself as a school shooter.
Both threats were investigated and neither was deemed credible; however, as both Sheriff Randy Smith and St. Tammany Parish Public School Superintendent Trey Folse stressed following similar incidents earlier this week, they will continue to take any and all threats at our schools seriously.
Both students were transported to Florida Parishes Detention Center, where they were booked.
