Quilla Rowell Barber
December 28, 1928 - March 12, 2018


Quilla Rowell Barber, age 89 and a resident of Franklinton, passed away March 12, 2018 at Riverside Medical Center in Franklinton.
She was born on December 28, 1928 in Tylertown, MS to Monroe Rowell and Effie McCloud Rowell. 
Visitation will be Thursday March 15, 2018 at Dexter Pentecostal Church from 5:00 PM until services on Friday at 1:00 PM at Dexter Pentecostal Church.  Burial will be in Stateline Pentecostal Church cemetery in Tylertown, MS.  Rev. Jerry Terrell, Rev. W.L. Tullos and Rev. Branden Wilkens will officiate.  Hartman Jones Funeral Home will handle the arrangements.
Mrs. Barber was a member of Dexter Pentecostal Church.  She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  She enjoyed life, spending many hours planting her flowers.  She loved her God, her church, and her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her spouse, Jason Barber; a brother, Leslie Rowell; four sisters, Margain Barber, Rita Mae Passman, Ruth Farlow and Moudine Graves.
She is survived by her son, Rev. Jerry Barber and his wife Betty of Franklinton, LA; three daughters, Dorothy Ratley, Betty Hartfield, Jackie Blackmon and her husband Sonny all of Franklinton, LA; a brother, Claude Rowell and his wife Evelyne of Tylertown, MS; nine grandchildren, Jeremy Barber, Shelby Ratley, Randall Barber, Anthony Ratley, Amanda Branch, Jody Hartfield, Valerie Carroll, Mason Blackmon, Nicholas Barber and Macey Blackmon; twenty-two great grandchildren; special friends; Nell Blackmon and Rev. George Ridge; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Barber, Roger Blackmon, Mason Blackmon, Jody Hartfield, Jessie Hartfield and Drake Barber.
