Washington Parish Church Burns

Early in the morning of February 1, the Monroe Creek Missionary Baptist Church located on Monroe Creek Road north of Highway 436, was destroyed by fire. Fire Districts 4, 5, 6 and Franklinton responded to the fire.
The Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office and the Louisiana State Fire Marshal’s Office are investigating. At this time, the cause of the fire is undetermined.
Sheriff Randy Seal commented. “This is so sad. Please join me in support of this fine congregation as they recover from the devastating effects of this fire.”
