Tangipahoa: Armed Robbery Suspect Arrested – Two Wanted

Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff Daniel Edwards reports that armed robbery suspect Christopher Rogers (17) of Tickfaw was arrested Monday, February 5, 2018. Rogers is accused of committing multiple armed robberies throughout the parish, including the armed robbery of Dollar General Store in Natalbany on January 20, 2018, the attempted armed robbery of the Black Cat Grocery in Independence on January 22, 2018, and the armed robbery of the Subway in Hammond on January 28, 2018.
Rogers has reportedly confessed to these crimes and that the motive was to gain the capital to invest in the business of illicit marijuana sales.
Rogers is also accused of having two male accomplices: one serving as a getaway driver and another who stood guard while the crimes were being committed.
