Bernadette Dennis
November 5, 1945 - February 1, 2018



BERNADETTE THERESA DENNIS, AGE 72 and a resident of the Stateline Community, died at 6:30 pm Thursday February 1, 2018 at her home. She was a native of the New Orleans area before living in Collins, MS and Hammond, LA for many years. Along with her husband, Bernie moved to Washington Parish in 1999. She enjoyed spending time at their camp on the Bogue Chitto River and was a member of Forest Haven Missionary Baptist Church, near her home. Bernie cherished the time spent with her family and adored her great-grandchildren.
Survived by: Husband of 45 years: Jerry Dennis of Stateline; 2 Sons and Daughters in law: Ernie and Marae Cooke of Ellisville, MS, Michael and Tammy Cooke of Saucier, MS; Daughter: Jill Aguilard of Stateline; Grandchildren: Shane Cooke, Dylon Cooke, Jessie Bryant Martin, Amanda Aguilard, Jennifer Dickens, Gabe Cooke; Great-grandchildren: Jaina Bonanno, Jaylen Knight, Jordan Knigtht, Audrey Cooke; Step-Mother: Vera Aguilard of Marrero; 2 Sisters: Patsy Aguilard of Marrero, Paulette Aguilard Wilson of Hammond; Also numerous nieces and nephews
She was preceded in death by her mother Audrey Trusclair Aguilard, father Ernest Aguilard and brother Paul Aguilard.
Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home (1109 Bene Street, Franklinton)on Monday February 5th from 10 am until 2 pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2 pm Monday with Eld. Richard Magee officiating. Burial will follow in the Thomas-Forest Haven Cemetery.
