An out of state family spending the night at the Holiday Inn Express in Slidell woke to find their 2 year old boy missing. The parents last saw their child when they went to sleep but, at some time during the night, the boy woke up and wandered out of the room. Slidell Police responded around 7 am Wednesday (January 24, 2018) and, fearing the worst, about twenty officers began canvassing the area searching for the missing child.
Approximately thirty minutes later, the little boy was found sleeping in an adjacent hotel room. It appeared the little boy exited his room during the night and then began going door to door trying to get back into his room. The child found a vacant hotel room with a door that was not fully closed or locked, went inside, climbed into bed, and went to sleep.
