Roby Graves
May 11, 1932 - January 13, 2018



ROBY GRAVES, AGE 85, was called home to our Lord at 4:30 pm Saturday January 13, 2018 at Riverside Medical Center. He was a longtime resident of the Hays Creek Community and a member of Hays Creek Southern Baptist Church where he was a Senior Deacon and formerly sang in the church choir. Roby was a true servant to his church and church family and read his beloved Bible every day. He was retired from Dairyman, Inc. after a career that ended with him working as plant manager for many years. Roby enjoyed watching old Western movies and loved watching football games.
Survived by: Daughter in law: Jean Graves of Franklinton; 2 Granddaughters and Spouses: Tricia and Ronnie Fussell of Franklinton; Sandra and Arthur Andrews of Chalmette; 5 Grandchildren and Spouses: Terry and Marisa Thomas, James Thomas, Jesse Thomas, Haley and Landan Jones, Cash Fussell; 6 Great-grandchildren: James Thomas, Jr., Jaslynn Thomas, Landon Robertson, Chase Thomas, Cambre Jones, Hadli Jones; Also numerous cousins, other family members and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years Myrna Loy James Graves, sons Ricky Graves and Terry A. Graves and parents Joe R. Graves and Lucille Smith Graves.
Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Wednesday January 17th from 10 am until 2 pm. A funeral service will be held at 2 pm Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Gibbie McMillan, Rev. Frederick Brumfield and Rev. Rick Elder officiating. Burial will follow in the Hays Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial donations to Hays Creek Baptist Church.
