Elnora Robinson
February 16, 1929 - January 23, 2018


Mrs. Elnora Robinson was born February 16, 929 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Rossie (Sophia) Weary in Tylertown, Mississippi. She departed this life on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at 88 years of age. She left this early life and transitioned to her period of eternal rest at the St. Tammany Hospital in Covington, LA.
Early in life, Elnora became a member of New Zion Baptist Church of Angie, LA under the leadership of the late Rev. A.L. Owens where she remained a member until her death. She served as a Sunday School Teacher, Missionary and Usher. She was also an owner of B&R Grocery Store in Varnado, LA.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories, four daughters, Wynett Mark of Bogalusa, LA, Mae (Otis) Mark, Patricia Nichols and Leatrice Smith of Varnado, LA; one son, Lionel (Amenda) Mark of Varnado, LA; three sisters, Rev. Altease Holmes and Minister Classie Hatcher of Chicago, IL and Donice Mark of Beaumont, TX; and one brother, Odell Jacob Weary of Bogalusa, LA; two granddaughters she raised as her own, Akesa Mark of Varnado, LA and Shareca (Pastor Dennis) Smith of Crowley, LA; 15 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rossie Weary and Sophia Woods Weary Pigott; husbands, Otis Mark and Shelton Robinson; two sisters, Selena (Roy) Holmes and Geraldine Mark; three brothers, L.J, L.W., and Chance Weary, Sr.
Visitation will be held Friday, February 2, 2018 at the chapel at Crain and Sons Funeral Home, Bogalusa, LA from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. followed by a family hour from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at New Zion Baptist Church, 63428 Jones Creek Road, Angie, LA at 12 noon with Reverend Linza R. Cotton, pastor officiating.
