Douglas Andrew LeBlanc, Sr.
August 17, 1944 - January 25, 2018

DOUGLAS ANDREW LEBLANC, SR., AGE 73 and a resident of Franklinton died Thursday night January 25, 2018 at St. Tammany Parish Hospital. He was a former longtime resident of the Westbank of New Orleans and an employee of Avondale Shipyards, where he began his career as a welder and retired as a supervisor after 33 years of service. Doug enjoyed fishing and hunting the small game near his home. He liked to work on his farm and tend to his beef cattle. Doug also enjoyed playing golf with his buddies. He always cherished the time spent with his family and granddaughters.
Survived by: Wife of nearly 55 years: Eve Lauzon LeBlanc of Franklinton; Son: Douglas Andrew LeBlanc, Jr. of Crosby, TX; 2 Granddaughters: Kelsey Jude LeBlanc, Kayla Lynn LeBlanc; Sisters and Brothers and a Spouse: Rosie and Rodney Pitre of California, Percy LeBlanc, Jr. of Port Arthur, TX, Pamela Baker of Franklinton, Karen Danos of Westwego; Daughter in law: Kristi LeBlanc of Kingwood, TX; Also numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Percy LeBlanc, Sr. and Lucrecia Zar LeBlanc, infant siblings William LeBlanc, Hazel LeBlanc, sister in law Ruth LeBlanc and brother in law Steve Danos.
Visitation will be at Holy Family Catholic Church (1220 14th Ave., Franklinton, LA 70438) on Wednesday January 31st from 9 am until 1 pm. A funeral mass will be held in the church at 1 pm Wednesday with Father Rick Day officiating. A reception for family and friends will be held in the church fellowship hall following the service.
