Barbara Miller Newman Creel passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at the age of 67. Wife by first marriage to the late Larry Anthony Newman and by second marriage to Thomas O. Creel. Loving mother of Kevin Anthony Newman (Jodi), Greg Alan Newman (Emily), Elizabeth Newman (Lawrence) and Elicia Newman Gleason (Timothy). Stepmother of Melissa Matthews (Adam) and Thomas Creel III (Heidi). Daughter of the late Elizabeth Carroll Smith Miller and Jack Harlm Miller. Sister of Jackie Owens (Ronald) and Pamela Lee (John). Grandmother of Zachary, Emily, Rayni, Jordan, Ben, Andrew, Ethan, Ryan, Steven, Cameron, Olivia, Patrick, Peyton and Ella. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
“Mimi” was a loving mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, Covington, LA 70433 on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 2:00 PM with visitation on Friday evening from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Saturday from 12:00 noon until 2:00 PM. Interment will follow in Barker McManus Cemetery.
