Tommy J. Freeman
January 3, 1932 - January 8, 2018)
Tommy J. Freeman, born in Bogalusa and a resident of Angie, passed away Monday, January 8, 2018 at the age of 86. He was born January 3, 1932 in Bogalusa, Louisiana to the late Mack and Minnie Harrell Freeman.
In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his wife Bobbie Jean Branch Freeman; son Tommy Gene Freeman; and grandson Cody Freeman.
He was of the Baptist Faith and attended Centerville Baptist Church. He had served in the United States Army and had been a Dairy Farmer. He enjoyed collecting knives, and collecting and flying model airplanes; fishing, and quail hunting; and observing and studying the stars through his telescope. He loved spending time with his family which often included watching TV with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his sons Darrell Freeman and Mark V. Freeman; grandchildren Jeremy Mac (Shaunna) Freeman, Jeremiah Freeman, Jessi Freeman (Fredrick) Magee, Stephen (Elizabeth) Pickering, and Andrew Freeman; and great-grandchildren Jordyn Bush, Sebastian Magee, London Magee, Tristan Freeman, Cody Freeman, Rylee Pickering, and Blake Pickering.
Pallbearers will be Jeremiah Freeman, Jeremy Mac Freeman, Fredrick Magee, Stacey Smith, Keith Breland, and Tristan Freeman.
Honorary pallbearer will be Danny Breland.
Visitation will be at Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 from 5:00-8:00 P.M. and on Thursday, January 11, 2018 from 10: 00 A.M. until service time there at 11:00. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, January 11, 2018 from the chapel of Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. Dan Perry officiating. Burial will be in the Carson Springs Cemetery.
