Following an extensive investigation, the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Narcotics Task Force has made multiple arrests related to contraband being introduced into the St. Tammany Parish Jail.
The investigation revealed that inmate Justin Olivieri (26) led a narcotics distribution network in the jail. The narcotics and other contraband were being dropped outside of the jail where inmate trustees could locate and smuggle them back into the facility. The contraband was mostly being delivered by Olivieri's girlfriend, Melanie Barletto (37) of Slidell. Erin Dutton (31) of Mandeville and inmate trustee Christopher Conway (38) also conspired with Olivieri and Barletto to introduce contraband into the jail.
Arrested in the operation and booked on numerous charges were inmate Olivieri, Barletto, Dutton, inmate trustee Conway, as well as inmate trustee Casey Collins (35), inmate trustee Joshua Felton (22), inmate trustee Joseph Austin (28), Kimberly Lee (40), inmate trustee John Bigner (34), Lauren Bigner (30), and inmate trustee Blayne O'Neal (29).
