Edward William Sharp, Sr.
August 17, 1942 - November 6, 2017 


Edward William Sharp, Sr., age 75, born on August 17, 1942 in Sun, LA, a resident of Franklinton, LA for 11 years, passed away on Monday, November 6, 2017 at his residence in Franklinton, LA. He worked for W. R. Core Construction; and Champagne Beverage Co., retired in 1985. He married Betty Joyce Horner Sharp in 1963.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie and Celia Sharp; a brother, Johnnie Sharp, Jr.; and a grandson, Timothy Lorey Komorowski .
He is survived by his wife, Betty Horner Sharp; children, Sheila Sharp, Edward Sharp, Jr. (Samantha), Patricia Sharp Toney (Greg), and Justin Sharp (Ariel); adopted children, Tiffany Walgamotte (Steven), and Crystal Smith (John Wayne); thirteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; his sister, Dorothy Schilling; three brothers, Albert Sharp, Sr., David Sharp, Sr., and Roy Sharp; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home on Saturday, November 11, 2017 from 10:00 a.m.-3:00 P.M. Funeral Services will begin at 3:00 P.M. with Rev. Eric Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Nobles Cemetery.
