Laurie Gros
January 18, 1961 - November 12, 2017



LAURACHEL FONTAINE “LAURIE” GROS, AGE 56 and a resident of Enon, died Sunday, November 12, 2017 at her residence. Laurie was a kind, amazing, loving mother, wife, grandmother, sister and most importantly a friend. Her positive attitude and genuine smile would lift people’s spirits wherever she went. Laurie’s thoughtfulness and generosity was appreciated by family, friends and even strangers. Laurie was loved by many, she touched their hearts and will be sadly missed.
Survived by: Husband: Dennis Gros of Enon; 2 Daughters: Melissa Poole of Enon, Annabeth Poole of Kentucky; Son: Matt Gros of Enon; 4 Grandchildren: Alexis Coomes, Kayla Coomes, Ashton Coomes, Riley Gros; Step-mother and Spouse: Jawanda Pulliam Smith and Lemoyne Smith of Little Rock, AR; 4 Sisters and Brothers in law: Jackie and Doyle Whitehead, Jill and Randy Eschbacher all of Little Rock, AR, Dee and Don Caskey of Harvey, Tammy Crawford of Baton Rouge; 2 Brothers and Sisters in law: David and Leda Parker of Denham Springs, Jeff and Barbara Pulliam of Searcy, AR; Mother in law: Janice Gros; Also numerous nieces and nephews
She was preceded in death by her mother Ann Rice Parker Echiker, father Judge Donovan Parker, father T.W. “Jack” Pulliam, brothers Jeffery Parker, Dexter Gros, father in law Camile Gros.
Visitation will be at Hillcrest Baptist Church (2201 Washington Street, Franklinton, LA 70438) on Friday November 17th from 9 am until 11 am. A funeral service will be held in the church at 11 am Friday with Rev. Tom Descant officiating. Entombment will be Saturday at 2 pm in the Westlawn Cemetery in Gretna, LA.
