Man Accused of $39,217.67 Bogalusa Wal-Mart Theft

Bogalusa Police Department Public Information Officer Percy Knight has reported that Wal-Mart contacted BPD on Saturday, November 11, 2017 about a theft involving an employee.
During the investigation, it was learned that on Friday, November 11, 2017,  Ronald McMorris (20) of Bogalusa was working a register at a check out line when he loaded forty-one (41) different gift cards for two people. McMorris is accused of swiping and loading cash on the gift cards at his register without taking payment from the suspects, for a total of $39,217.67.
McMorris was charged with Theft over $5,000.00 (2 counts) and Conspiracy to Commit Felony Theft.
The suspects that received the gift cards are wanted for questioning. They are both described as black males possibly riding in a black Chevrolet Tahoe.
