Angie Teans Arrested After Burglary Investigation

On November 6, the Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested two Angie teens, Justin Gunnell (17) and Gary Crumedy (17) following an investigation of a residential burglary on Fornea Road and a theft of firearms that occurred at another residence. Evidence and testimony pointed to Gunnell and Crumedy as prime suspects. When confronted by detectives, both young men confessed to the crimes.
Gunnell was charged with burglary of an inhabited dwelling, criminal damage to property and five counts of theft of firearms. Crumedy was charged with burglary of an inhabited dwelling and criminal damage to property.
“It concerns me,” said Sheriff Randy Seal, “to see young men like these two involved in criminal activity. It is not a good start for them, but the arrests give each young man an opportunity to assess his direction in life and to set positive goals for the future. It is my sincere hope that the stark reality of this arrest signals the beginning of a new course for each of them.”
